Hello and welcome.... I am an experienced, professional, freelance, hair and make-up artist (MAC trained) based in Brighton, Sussex, U.K, specialising in wedding services, parties, proms and promotional work.
My skills have been gained from managing salons, working with artistic teams, teaching at colleges and constantly updating with some of the top leading names in the U.K. some of the diplomas and training certificates I have attained include.... Saks, Toni & Guy, Patrick Cameron, Racoon, Wella, Clynol, Gingles International & MAC make-up...
Experience
Claire has over 20 years hairdressing experience. Originally working in and around South London and finally, in management before moving to the South coast. Claire then became a member of an artistic team whilst working for a group of salons. This involved creating collections, doing shows and photographic sessions.
By the year 1999, Claire was not only working for her self, but she had also qualified and become a part time lecturer, teaching at a technical college and by 2003 had created her own company "Claire Wallace Hairdressing Ltd." To enhance the company, Claire had a web site created and this gave her the opportunity to advertise that she now specialised in weddings. Also, she writes for a magazine called "Your Sussex Wedding" and is an expert for their panel. In August 2006 - to date, Claire's most recent achievement was to develop her make-up and beauty skills and attended a MAC make-up course in Kensington, London where by, she can now offer a complete all round service to her clients.

Claire has been my hairdresser for a number of years now. She provides a consistent, reliable and professional service and has encouraged me to try new styles and colours, and at the same time allowing me to feel happy and confident with my hair style. I first started using her when my children were very young - now they are content to occupy themselves at home whilst I'm being pampered - only to make brief appearances to have their own hair trimmed. When I first got in touch with Claire, I hadn't had a decent haircut in about 3 years. She put me at ease and said she would work with me to get the desired result. I have to say that she was brilliant, I never thought my hair could be tamed straight and her advice on using the right products meant that I could get the same result on my own when styling it. Claire was great at understanding the look I was trying to achieve for my big day. The end look was perfect for what I had envisioned in my head but had not so brilliantly described.
Claires professionalism and experience really showed through. On the day she worked really hard and even managed to fit in an extra person for make up.
She was a pleasure to have around in the hustle and bustle of the wedding morning and we even had time for a bit of a laugh.
I would recommend highly recommend her.

Amid the chaos of organising a wedding what you really need is help from reliable, professional people whose opinion you can trust and who you can rely on and that’s just what I found in Claire. During our first meeting Claire listened carefully to what I wanted and gave really helpful advice especially about small things I could do to ensure my skin was in peak condition for the big day. Her design suggestions for my hair and make-up really helped me to get the exact look I wanted.
The morning of the wedding was a whirl of comings and goings. Claire arrived exactly on time (a little early actually) and soon settled herself in the available room. She was amazingly flexible about the space and the order of people she styled and was completely relaxed and focussed even though there was a constant stream of people coming and going nearly all of them wanting to speak to me about something or other.
My hair and make-up looked wonderful and gave me exactly the look I had imagined thanks to Claire’s attention to detail. She made everyone feel comfortable and her serene manner was contagious. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any Bride-to-be.

I contacted Claire after finding her details in a Sussex bridal magazine. She was very professional and friendly from the start. Any bride-to-be knows how stressful it gets and I can honestly say all my contact with Claire was stress-free and enjoyable. She came up with a very elegant ‘up-do’ style for me which looked fantastic and was just what I wanted.
On the day Claire was punctual, efficient and CALM, which is what you want on the morning of your wedding day! She had her work cut out with not only myself but my 4 bridesmaid’s hair styles to do. I soon realised why she had advised that she came at 8.30am! Claire even averted disaster when, straight after she had finished my hair I walked out the room and immediately bumped my head on a low beam (I am tall!) and made a bit of a dent in my brand new hair-do. (I blame it on all the excitement) A quick and skillful repair job and it looked perfect again. All the bridesmaids looked wonderful too and we had a fantastic day. My hair was still intact at 3am! I would certainly recommend Claire to other brides-to-be. Thank you Claire!
