Horsted Place, a magnificent Victorian listed building set in extensive landscaped gardens, provides the perfect backdrop for wedding celebrations at any time of year. Impressive but welcoming, grand but friendly, this lovely country house now offers three choices of setting.
The warm intimate Library seats up to 50 guests and is ideal for a couple perhaps wishing to exchange their vows in the presence of close family and friends.
For a larger gathering, the elegant Terrace Room with its French doors on to the garden can accommodate up to 100. This room is flooded by afternoon sunlight, but also looks stunning lit by candles for a winter wedding.
Horsted Place is now one of the few venues in Sussex licensed for an outdoor ceremony. The Victorian style summerhouse on the sheltered croquet lawn sets the scene for a less formal but nonetheless memorable occasion. (Should the weather be inclement, the Terrace Room or Library would be available.)
It is also possible to take exclusive use of house, when Horsted Place and its staff are at the complete disposal of the bridal party and their guests. Music and dancing into the evening are only possible if exclusive use is taken.
We do not offer standard packages and we never book more than one wedding for the same date.
